Ischia is the island where Elena “Lenù “and Raffaella” Lila” come to follow the doctor’s advice to breathe some healthy air. The spirit of the experience is to explore the entire island of Ischia with emphasis on the places mentioned in the first two novels of the series (”the brilliant friend “and”history of the new surname”).

Accompanied by a local anthropologist guide, lover of Elena Ferrante’s books, you will enter the places that reflect the essence of Elena Ferrante’s books.
You will discover the places where Lenù spends the summer and develops his relationships with Nino Sarratore and his father Donato.
Ischia was also used as a set of the television miniseries based on the first volume of Ferrante’s narrative cycle.

During the tour, you will learn the techniques of creative writing in order to understand the techniques used by the writer in writing her books.

09:30 am – The tour begins with pick-up in the morning by private taxi from the Marina 10 boutique&design hotel. We will pass through the various municipalities of the island, starting from Casamicciola and making several photo stops in Lacco Ameno to visit the famous “Mushroom”, Forio and the famous Church of Soccorso (mentioned in “History of the new surname”), the beach of Citara and the village of Cuotto (mentioned in “History of the new surname”) and then stop in the picturesque village of Sant’Angelo for a short break. In the second part of the tour we will visit the inland areas of the island, passing through Serrara Fontana at the foot of Mount Epomeo (mentioned in “Storia del nuovo cognome”), Barano and the Maronti beach (mentioned in the first chapter of the saga “L’amica geniale”). The last stop includes a short walk through the village of Ischia Ponte for photos of the Aragonese Castle from the outside. The tour ends at 13.00
